Te Whakapapa o Huinga Reo
History and Establishment of Te Reo Māori Subject Association Aotearoa
Ka whakatokoria e ngā kōrero e whai nei ngā kaupapa matua me ngā ekenga i whakarewaina ai a Huinga Reo (Te Reo Māori Subject Association Aotearoa)
The following outlines the key events and milestones that led to the establishment of Te Reo Māori Subject Association Aotearoa (Huinga Reo).
I te tau 2021, ka whai wāhi atu te PPTA Kaihautū Māori ki Te Reo o Te Tai Tokerau (TROTT), ki Tikipunga High School, ki Whangārei.
In 2021, PPTA Kaihautū Māori engaged with Te Reo o Te Tai Tokerau (TROTT) at Tikipunga High School in Whangārei.
I whakaū te hui i te hiahia kia whakatuwheratia tētahi Huinga mō Te Reo Māori. I whakaae a TROTT ki te tautoko me te āwhina ki te ārahi i te whakawhanaketanga o te kaupapa nei.
This hui confirmed a shared need to establish a Te Reo Māori Subject Association. TROTT agreed to support and help lead the development of this kaupapa.
Te Hui o Te Huarahi Māori Motuhake a te PPTA
I tautohua i ngā wānanga tuatahi te korenga o tētahi Huinga mō Te Reo Māori. I kōkiritia kētia e Johnny Waititi te kaupapa, engari me whai rauawa, me whai haumi, e koke ai te kaupapa.
